The CJPRA has certain guidelines for evidence found on investigations.

An orb is not considered sufficient or significant evidence because the majority of the time orbs are just dust, pollen or other particles floating through the air.

Anomolies are usually bugs or insects flying past a camera. They can also be camera straps as well.

Ectoplasmic mist can be found on a picture or video if someone is smoking or if it's cold out and someone's breath hits the air. Ectoplasmic mist can be suffient evidence if it is proven to not be caused by smoke or breath.

EVP's are pretty much hard evidence. They are audio recordings of spirits and are pretty hard to dismiss as evidence.

Apparitions are a significant piece or evidence. Capturing one is very rare.
